Prenatal & Postnatal Classes

Practicing yoga during pregnancy and parenthood prepares the mind and body for a more functional birth and journey into parenthood.

Prenatal classes are specifically designed for you and your changing body and appropriate for all trimesters, preconception and into parenthood, regardless of your previous yoga experience. Beginners are welcome. Classes combine traditional yoga poses and breath practices with creative movement and restorative postures to alleviate common aches and pains, introduce coping tools for birth, and inspire a sense of empowerment in this great transition. Live online classes offer a space to explore yourself and to connect with your baby and others on the same journey.

Postnatal classes are designed specifically for the postpartum body to bring relief to areas that need unwinding and strength to areas that need attention. We tackle the mental and emotional aspects of new parenthood as well via connection to the body, the breath, and our community. Postpartum is broadly defined, from immediate release by your care provider to years into your postpartum journey. And the live online setting allows your child(ren) to be present during class as needed. Anyone looking for a safe space to reconnect with their body and their mat after birth is welcome.

Sundays, 2:30-3:30pm Postnatal Yoga

Sundays, 4-5:15pm Prenatal Yoga

A recording of each prenatal and postnatal class will be made available for seven days to those who register in advance so that those who cannot make it “live” can practice on their own schedule or retake the class as they wish.

Alignment-informed Vinyasa

Vinyasa classes coordinate the breath with movement to create a dynamic practice. Alignment provides structure for safe movement. Expect to warm the body intelligently before flowing, with time to rest and restore at the end. The live online format allows me to see your body as you move and offer individual instruction. All levels, including brand-new beginners, welcome.
